Modiya Microfinance Bank (Nig) Ltd. was established by Mokwa District Youth Association (MODIYA) and incorporated by Corporate Affairs Commission as Modiya Yekokpe Community Bank (Nig) Ltd in 1995 and commenced operations on 15th August, 1995. The official commissioning was on 13th December, 1995 by the then Military Administrator of Niger State_ COL. C.K. Emein MSS, FSS,PSC. The Bank transformed to Modiya Micro Finance Bank (Nig) Ltd in January 2008
